KDUBSC higher committee has visited Xin Hui Buddhist Society at Cheras!
After some small route researches with friends of ours, we started journey around 2pm and reached that Buddhist Association around 3pm. Miracle happened that we never wind down our window to ask people for direction instead of reaching this Buddhist Association…
Xin Hui Buddhist Association, a temple, dharma learning centre, recycle centre, meditation centre, orphanage, and old folks home.
We met Qing Le, the manager of Xin Hui Buddhist Society, a young adult who STAYED in this Buddhist Society, and become the care-taker of 10 orphans. I am so grateful that there is still someone who wants to do this job.
After a short discussion with the manager, our president and his colleague went to teach the orphans, and what we found out is they are very weak in study, as the reason, they don’t have extra tuition for their academic, only school and volunteering peoples that come to Xin HUi and teach them. WE NEED HELPS FOR THIS!

Teaching isn’t tough job, but the orphans can’t really pay their attention as they are very concern about their home, which is Xin Hui Buddhist Association.
Kids are starting to do their task, without ordered by anyone; automatically they will go and clean their main hall, their kitchen. They will also feed the animals that they keep and care taking in their association. And they are just 13 and below.
I was tearing out when talking with the manager, when I found out the youngest orphan here is 10 months old. I am not blaming the parents who left this little baby girl with Xin Hui Buddhist Association, but I was heart broken the baby because she lost her parents when she is not even 1 year old.
The compassionate heart that belongs to the kids really touching my heart, they found a dead frog in the drain, one kid ran to the kitchen site and he got himself a digger (cangkul). He then walked to backyard of Xin Hui and decided to bury the dead frog body.

We helped to clean the main hall as well, and then the committees went back at 7pm. Please do check out the KDUBSC page on facebook and view the photos.
