Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund by KDU College
In the effort of sharing love with the earthquake victims of Haiti, KDU College Damansara Jaya Campus’ staff and students had raised a Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund of RM484.85. This fund raising activity initiated by KDU Buddhist Club (KDUBSC) was held simultaneously with the recruitment of new members for the club for two days from 25th to 26th January 2010. The response from KDU students and staff was overwhelming as they were more than willing to donate for the fund.
The KDUBSC committee which consists of the President, Mr. Cheong Yu Aik, the Treasurer, Ms. Ooi Huai Ming and the Buddhism Instructor, Mr Kenn Yeap, handover the raised fund to the President of Intervarsity Youth Buddhist Coordinator Council (under the wing of Youth Buddhists Association Malaysia, YBAM), Mr Tang Kok Hong today. Mr. Tang thanked KDU College and KDUBSC for the generous donation in aiding of Haiti earthquake. The collection will then be forwarded to Haiti as soon as YBAM have collected funds from other colleges and universities.
Mr Kenn Yeap mentioned that KDUBSC will plan to raise another bigger Haiti’s Earthquake Relief Fund, cooperating with other KDU societies and clubs in the near future. He also stated that, this Haiti Relief Fund was the first charity-based activity by KDUBSC, which was established on the 1st October 2009. In the soon coming activity, KDUBSC will raise another fund for an orphanage home that is located in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

此筹款活动为期两天，伯乐学院生及工作人员们都非常热心，慷慨解囊。
主席张佑益，财政黄慧敏及顾问兼发起人叶添鸿在今年一月三十日将此现款转交予马来西亚青年佛学会IYBCC主席邓国丰。
邓主席感谢伯乐学院佛学会的帮助。此项款将会连同其他学院一并交予海地的灾民。
伯乐佛学会发起人兼顾问说伯乐佛学会有可能将举办更大型的筹款活动，项款可能来自于伯乐学院的团体及社团。
此项筹款也是伯乐佛学会第一次举办的活动。伯乐佛学会在去年二零零九年十月一日正式成立。他们也将会为cheras的一间BODHI孤儿院筹款。
